The tour will start behind the Trevi Fountain, where an intricate underground labyrinth of ancient ruins stretches out. The archaeological area of Vicus Caprarius – the City of Water – is part of it. In a journey back in time it will be possible to discover: the remains of a domus of the Imperial era; the castellum aquae of the Aqua Virgo aqueduct; and other evocative archaeological findings (including the famous head of Alexander  Helios).

After the City of Water visit, the tour will restart from the marvelous Trevi Fountain, the Baroque masterpiece, designed by Nicola Salvi in 1735. You will continue with the Triton Fountain, carved by the artist Gian Lorenzo Bernini, which was commissioned by Pope Urban VIII to embellish the square dominated by its new family palace. Going on toward Piazza Mignanelli, named after the overlooking palace, you can notice one of the characteristic public fountains of Rome, known as “Nasone”. You will then reach the Spanish Steps, with the Barcaccia Fountain, created in 1629 by Pietro Bernini and his son, the famous Gian Lorenzo. Strolling in Via del Babuino, you will see one of the six talking statues of Rome, which represents an ancient depiction of a reclining Silenus, nicknamed by Romans “babbuino” (baboon) because of its ugly and deformed shape. You will eventually arrive in Via Margutta, where you will admire the “Fontana delle Arti” (Fountain of the Arts), designed by the architect Pietro Lombardi in 1927, crowned by a bucket of paint-brushes, symbolizing the presence of artists in the area dating from the 17th century.
The tour will end in the heart of Rome, with a typical Italian aperitif at the picturesque Serra Palace, with music and a suggestive terrace overlooking the Fountain of the Arts.
