Bomarzo, a little village in the province of Viterbo, possesses a unique work, the Villa of Marvels, also called the Sacred Wood or Park of Monsters. Dedicated to Giulia Farnese by her husband Pier Francesco Orsini, also known as Vicino Orsini. It was designed by the great architect Pirro Ligorio in the second half of the 16th century.
